Grant Amendments

As communities change over time, the needs of families receiving Head Start services also change. Ongoing assessment of community and family strengths, needs, and resources provides important information to programs. It allows them to make data-informed decisions about program options, supporting full enrollment, and allocation of resources to continuous quality improvement.

Post-award grant amendments include changes in scope, such as for enrollment conversions and reductions, which give programs flexibility to adapt to changing needs. This page highlights guidance and resources to assist programs in developing grant amendments.
