Rising to the Challenge of Thrilling Play!
Thrilling play, often called risky play, invites children to explore speed and momentum, height and elevation, the use of adult tools, natural elements, and rough and tumble play.
Perceptual, Motor, and Physical Development is one of the five central domains of the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF). Resources here explore how children use their senses to understand and respond to the world, and how they develop fine and gross motor skills. This collection also features resources around children's health, safety, and nutrition.
Other ELOF domains include Approaches to Learning; Social and Emotional Development; Language and Literacy; and Cognition.
